Dr.
Beauchamp holds a doctorate in Sports Psychology (University of Montreal)
and Masters/Bachelors degrees from McGill University. A former McGill
varsity hockey player, Pie
As
a former psychology consultant, Pierre has worked for the Canadian Olympic
Association coordinating Athletes Services for National Team athletes from
a variety of Olympic sports (Lillehammer (1994); Atlanta (1996); Nagano
(1998) and Pan American Games). As a Coach, Pierre was appointed for the
1998 National Junior Golf Team, which competed in the World Junior Team
Championship in Osaka Japan. Pierre is also a managing Director in a management consulting firm (Peak Performance Coaching) dealing in human performance coaching with professional and amateur athletes in a variety of sports such as Toronto Maple Leaf’s, Players Forsyth Racing Team, P.G.A Tour, and the CPGA Tour. Pierre is also an associate Director for the International Center for Sport Psychology with offices in Montreal, Chicago, Boston and Paris. The Center’s world-renowned staff aids professional (NFL, NBA, NHL) and amateur organizations on how to use psychology to evaluate the potential of athletes, enhance their performance and aid in adjustment issues.
Pierre
has also been a professor in the faculty of Human Kinetics at the
University of Ottawa and Dawson College in Montreal where he was taught
both graduate and undergraduate courses (Sport Psychology, Leadership,
Stress Management, Motivation & Sport Performance) and conducts
research in the areas of human motivation, sport performance, and stress
management with high performance athletes. Pierre is a professional
member of the Associate for the advancement of Applied Sport Psychology
and has presented research and conducted coaching conferences at a
variety of International conferences and symposiums. |
